A line of Armour sliced beef products has been recalled because of possible contamination, according to a news release from the Kane County Health Department.
The release says Pinnacle Foods Inc., a Fort Madison, Iowa, company, is recalling more than 32,000 pounds of the heat-treated, shelf-stable beef products that might be contaminated with toxins that can cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramping, and diarrhea.
The products were shipped to grocers nationwide, but no cases have been reported yet, according to the release.
The recalled products are 2.25-ounce glass jars containing Armour Ground & Formed Sliced Dried Beef with best-by dates of Jan. 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, 2021, and April 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19, 2021; as well as 4.5-ounce glass jars containing Armour Ground & Formed Sliced Dried Beef with best-by dates of Jan. 23, 24 and 25, 2021, and April 22, 2021.
