The Subaru Crosstrek was the only model to post a for Subaru of America in April, but the automaker still posted a record for the month.
Subaru sold 12,266 units of the subcompact crossover last month, enough to give the automaker a sales increase over last April.
Subaru's U.S. sales streak now checks in at 77 months of year-over-year sales increases.
Total sales: 53,170, a 1.5% increase
Notable nameplates: Outback down 2.7%, Forester down 7.3%, Crosstrek up 70%, Impreza down 27%, WRX/STI down 12%, Legacy down 3.8% and BRZ down 7.2%
Incentives: $1,172 per vehicle, up 22% from a year earlier, according to ALG.
Average transaction price: $27,814, up 0.2% from a year earlier, ALG says.
Quote: "Our customer's interest in the Crosstrek continues to increase every month," said Jeff Walters, Subaru of America senior vice president of sales, in a statement.
Did you know? The Outback's decline of 2.7% in April was the first decline for the model in 2018. It last posted a monthly sales decline in December 2017.
