Woman electrocuted at marriage pandal

A 20-year-old woman was electrocuted at a marriage pandal forcing the organisers to cancel the wedding. Odisa Sunitha was attending a marriage of a close relative at Regulavaram Thanda near Macherla in the early hours of Monday, when she was electrocuted while trying to save the life of a man who came in contact with a live wire.

The incident took place as the earthing of wires was not done properly, police said. Two other women were also injured in the incident.

Wedding put off

The tragic incident left those attending the wedding shell-shocked. The groom, Odisa Sai said that he would put off the wedding.
