Lawrence Township Trustees
April 26 meeting

KEY ACTION Awarded the quote for chip-n-seal of various roads in the township to 20/20 Enterprises Inc. of Somerset, Ohio. Cost includes price of oil per gallon and stone spread on the roads. The total cost of the project will be determined once all the roads on the list are chip-n-sealed.

DISCUSSION Lease agreements were approved for Nilodor, Cable Manufacturing Assembly and Premiere Enterprises all located in the industrial park, all for one year, and an indefinite lease on the Bolivar Fire Department. The Masonic Lodge which has an agreement for 99-years effective 2011.

OTHER ACTION

n Heard information and a bill for repairs was sent to Kinder Morgan. Trustees have not received any confirmation from the company.

n Held a work session prior to the meeting with Nate Quicksall, of Quicksall and Associates, about the drawings for the Towpath Trail to be located in the township.

n Lauded the Tuscarawas Valley High students that participated in the Pay It Forward project.

n Agreed to participate in the county winter road salt program. The township purchases 550 tons of road salt.

n Agreed to cut down ash trees at a cost of $800. The trees will not be cleaned up at the property where the trees are located.

n Heard voting booths will be set up on May 7 in the township social hall for the May 8 primary election.

n Agreed to accept the Community Economic Review.

n The composting site at the township building will open May 7. No commercial companies can dump at the site. No trees or tree stumps will be accepted. Signs will be posted. Grass and leaves may be taken to the composting site sunrise to sunset.
