The Aurora Opera House in Victoria will be opening its doors to the public for guided tours on Saturday.
Housed within a former countryside villa, originally built in the late 19th century, the opera house still possesses traces of British architecture, including the original façade and preserved wall and ceiling paintings dating back to the early 20th century. The opera house also hosts a bar, two billiard rooms with authentic 1908 pool tables, a multipurpose dance studio, workshops and a discothèque.
Guided tours will enable visitors to appreciate the opera house’s history and the socioeconomic reality in which it was built and thrived.
