Michael J. Loschiavo Sr. Ambridge Michael J. Loschiavo, Sr., age 72, of Amb-ridge, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver, surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 10, 1946, in Sewickley, Pa., to the late George and Mary Loschiavo. He was a long time self- employed bricklayer and contractor. He was a member of Good Samaritan Catholic Church, Ambridge. A graduate of Ambridge High School, he received his bachelor's degree in general science from the University of Pittsburgh. He was recently studying for his masters in psychology at I.U.P. He served his country as a proud member of the United States Marine Corp in Vietnam. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his infant son, Jonathan Loschiavo. He is survived by his two sons, Michael J. Loschiavo and his wife Arionna and Edwin C. Loschiavo, all of Ambridge. All three sons were born to ex-wife but long time friend and neighbor, Lisa Gonzalez. Also surviving Michael are his grandchildren, Aubrionna and Madeline Loschiavo and Domonic Marshall Pringle-Loschiavo; a brother and sister-inlaw, Carmine and Katherine Loschiavo, North Sewickley; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Georgette Loschiavo of Aliquippa, and Maria Lynn and John Barney of Brighton Township; his very close cousin, Marlene Swiaka Koledin, who was raised with him as if they were brother and sister; aunt, Rose PIatz; cousins, Frank Platz, Donna Platz and Vince Loschiavo; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews. He was loved by many close friends and a surrogate grandfather to many. Friends will be received Tuesday from 6 p.m. until time of blessing service at 7:30 p.m. in the JOHN SYKA FUNERAL HOME INC., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge. Interment with full military honors provided by the United States Marine Veterans Honor Guard of North Huntington and the United States Marine Corp will take place on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Washington County. Anyone who wishes to attend the burial services are asked to meet Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Syka Funeral Home parking lot for the procession to the cemetery.
