Pesticide vendor saves man’s life

An alert pesticide shop owner saved the life of a man, who reportedly tried to commit suicide on Sunday.

The victim, a resident of Yenamalakuduru, visited the shop near the Vinayaka temple under the One Town police limits and asked for a pesticide bottle. When the owner asked for his Aadhaar card, he grabbed a bottle in the shop and ran away.

The shop owner alerted the police by calling ‘100’ and informed them that the man had left his purse and phone in the shop. The police found him when he was about to consume the pesticide and counselled him, a release said.
