Mumbai: Actors Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar and Sonam Kapoor were honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke awards, on Sunday, April 29, here, for their work in Padman and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
Akshay Kumar won the best actor award for his role in Padman (Jury) and for Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. On the other hand Bhumi Pednekar walked away with the best actress trophy for her work in Toilet Ek Prem Katha whereas Sonam won it for her act in Padman.

The Dadasaheb Phalke Foundation also honoured Manisha Koirala as the ‘Most Versatile Actress’ in the Indian Cine Industry.
Veteran actor-director Rakesh Roshan was awarded as the lifetime achiever for his contribution to the industry as an actor, producer and a director while veteran actor Farida Jalal was given the Saraswatibai Dadasaheb Phalke Best actress (Lifetime) award for her contribution to the film industry.
