Dancing With The Stars NZ: Hits and misses of round two

Zac and Kristie did a tango to There's Nothing Holding Me Back. Total score: 19.
REVIEW: It's back. The ultimate tightrope walk for Kiwi celebrities, balancing between renewing their fame and basking in the glory - and eternal humiliation. Dancing With The Stars is shaking sequins all over the place after three years away, and it might just be better than ever.
After an intense second episode, let's take a look at the hits - and the misses - of the 2018 series.

They promised to challenge us to a dance-off. No trash talk, no back walk. A dance off. And by crikey they did.
In the second episode of DWTS, we were blessed with the other half of contestants (while the first half were still suspiciously dressed in the exact same costumes as last night, but we'll just go with it).
HIT - ROGER FARRELLY'S MESH SINGLET

Roger and Carol-Ann did a jive to Don't Stop Me Now. Total score: 18.
Rockin Rog took to the stage and not only blew all expectations out of the water with a very impressive jive, but actually managed to pull off a mesh singlet - no easy feat.
MISS - DAVID SEYMOUR IN GENERAL

David and Amelia did a jive to My Sharona. Total score: 15.
Despite an enthusiastic performance of My Sharona and adorably eager-to-please facial expressions, I'm afraid we may not be seyingmour of David past week one.
HIT - ZAC FRANICH'S SILKY BLOW WAVE AND BLUE STEEL FACE
The former Bachelor wowed the crowds with not only his stallion-esque dance moves but his fiery hot tango eyes. He also debuted a slick new 'do, waving goodbye to that natural surfy perm we've all sort of grown to love.
HIT - NAZ BEING ABLE TO CARTWHEEL AS AN ADULT WOMAN

Naz and Tim did a samba to Waka Waka.Total score: 19.
Honestly, three cheers for cheerleader Naz. She smashed the samba and was in my opinion the most impressive performance of the night. I bow down to anyone being able to do a cartwheel over the age of 11.
HIT - SUZY CATO, NATIONAL TREASURE

Suzy and Matt did a quickstep to Written in the Water. Total score: 21.
There was a reason they saved the best for last. The mother of the nation Suzy Cato gave us tears, she gave us her children and she gave us hip skin. As a child of the nineties, I'm backing Suzy to win the gold.
