Liverpool news: Steve Nicol slams Jurgen Klopp - Reds boss acted like a 10-year-old
LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp was childish in refusing to shake the assistant referee’s hand following Saturday’s goalless draw with Stoke.
That is the opinion of ESPN FC pundit and legendary Liverpool right-back Steve Nicol.
Klopp was not happy at Simon Long’s decision not to award a penalty late on for his team.
Stoke defender Erik Pieters appeared to handle the ball but the incident was not seen by match referee Andre Marriner.
After the game Klopp came onto the pitch to shake hands with Marriner and his other assistant Richard West, but did not offer his hand to Long.

That’s not clever, that’s what kids do. That’s what 10 year olds do
Nicol is not happy at Jurgen Klopp’s actions, saying he acted like a 10-year-old.
“I think we should have a go at Klopp for that,” Nicol said on ESPN FC.
“That’s not clever, that’s what kids do. That’s what 10 year olds do.
“If you’re going to go on the field and shake the officials’ hand, then you do it regardless.

“You don’t act childish and look at the linesman and then pull your hand away.
“I’m sorry but that’s ridiculous.
“You know what you do, you shake his hand because you’ve got him.
“And you keep hold of him and you make sure he knows exactly what you think, that’s what you do.”
