‘Plan for ESI facility for all’

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has instructed officials to prepare a plan to implement ESI policy for all workers in the State, including those not covered by the scheme, and also the implementation of insurance policy for construction labourers.

The CM, who held a review meeting on Labour Welfare at Pragati Bhavan here on Saturday, instructed officials to prepare a report on number of workers in the unorganised sector, organised sector and what measures were taken for their health, welfare and insurance.

He said Aadhaar should be linked to all workers and they should be registered with Labour Department, adding that a meeting after May Day will see key decisions being taken. Labour Minister, Nayani Narasimha Reddy and officials were present.
