3.2 Magnitude Earthquake Reported In Major County

MAJOR COUNTY, Oklahoma -

A 3.2 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the northwestern part of the state, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. 

The earthquake struck at approximately 6:01 a.m. about 11 miles south-southeast of Waynoka, 17 miles south of Avard, 19 miles southwest of Dacoma, and 97 miles northwest of Oklahoma City. 

According to the preliminary report, the earthquake was approximately 3 miles in depth. No injuries associated with the earthquake were reported.
