3 Palestinians trying to 'infiltrate' shot dead: Israel

The (IDF) on Sunday fatally shot three Palestinians as they broke through the border fence into from the southern Strip, in two separate incidents.

"In response, IDF troops fired towards them. One of the suspects was killed, and the other was injured and transferred to security forces for further questioning," the statement added.

A few moments later, the IDF took to to intimate about the second such incident as well.

In a third incident, soldiers spotted two Palestinians trying to breach the border. They were arrested and found to have knives and armed, according to the military.

As per the local media reports, the has also reported an uptick in attempts to breach and damage the border fence during the 'Great March of Return' protests that have taken place every Friday for the last five weeks along the Gaza-border.

The protests are to culminate on May 15, Palestinians mark the date as their "nakba," or catastrophe.
