83% students pass SSC examination in Telangana

In the Telangana secondary school certificate (SSC) results announced on Friday evening 83.78% students passed registering a marginal decline of 0.37% over the last year.

Among the districts of Telangana Jagtiyal came on the top with 97.56% while Adilabad was at the bottom of the table with 51.94%. Girls once again bettered the boys by securing pass percentage of 85.14%, 2.68% ahead of boys.

Among the 31 districts Hyderabad came at poor 25th position. Of the 500,000 regular candidates who appeared in the examination 420,365 passed.

A total of 2125 secured hundred percent results. Among all the schools the Government run backward classes welfare residential schools performed the best with 96.18% results. The Owaisi Schools of Excellence, run by Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen's educational trust also did well. 62 students of Owaisi school secured hundred percent result. Salar e Millay Educational Trust chairman, MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi said that it was happiest day of his life as free education to children of poor families had become a borne fruit.
