Suspect In Custody After Arson and Stabbing In Norman

NORMAN, Oklahoma -

A suspect who barricaded himself in a Norman home earlier Sunday is now in custody after starting a fire and stabbing someone. 

Officials told News 9 the incident took place near West Rock Creek Road and North Porter Avenue in Norman. 

The incident started as an ongoing neighborhood dispute, that led to the suspect setting fire to a vehicle, and stabbing a woman. The woman is in stable condition, officials said. 

According to authorities, the suspect is believed to have barricaded himself for about 10 minutes. 

S.W.A.T. was called to the scene, and Fire Marshall are investigating the arson.
