BISMARCK, N.D. - About 1 million people in the United States deal with Parkinson's Disease, with 60,000 new diagnoses every year.
Hundreds came out to Sertoma Park Saturday to raise awareness for the disease.
The Bismarck Parkinson's Support Group sponsored the event. Adults and kids got to take part in the racing fun.
This is the group's largest fundraiser each year, which let's them give back to the community.
"We help with education, we do a September seminar in Bismarck and we are also able to help pay for exercise classes in Bismarck and Mandan for those with Parkinsons," said Reva Kautz, Race Coordinator.
Exercise can help delay the onset of symptoms for Parkinson's disease.
