Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) desire to move up the pecking order got a boost following an incredible win vs Mumbai Indians a week ago. However, the Ajinkya Rahane-led side could not keep the momentum going in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday as they succumbed to an 11-run loss. Kane Williamson scored a fifty as SRH scored 151/7 in the 1st innings vs RR. RR lost wickets at regular intervals and despite skipper Rahane scoring a 50, lost the game in the last over. SRH went top of the league table after this win. Get highlights of Rajasthan Royals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, IPL 2018 game, here. (LIVE STREAMING INFO) (LIVE SCORECARD)

7:50 PM IST: That’s it from our side, thank you so much for joining us! Do check out live coverage of RCB vs KKR here.

7:45 PM IST: Williamson: “I think the contribution from the batting order on that surface to get 150, which was a par total, and then to squeeze well with out bowling was incredible. The surface was definitely on the slower side, with some turn and not a lot of bounce. They used the short ball well with the long boundaries was something we wanted to incorporate as well.”

7:30 PM IST: SRH are becoming the team to defend small totals. The bowling unit is operating very well at this point and they now go to the top of the table.

7:27 PM IST: And that’s it! SRH win by 11 runs in what was a very close game. But they run out deserved winners vs RR.

7:20 PM IST: Kaul ends his spell in a good way, conceding just six runs and taking a wicket. RR 131/5 after 19 overs, they need 21 to win off the last over.

7:17 PM IST: OUT ! Siddarth Kaul gets a wicket at the right time, removing Mahipal Lomror. Lomror c Saha b S Kaul 11(12). RR 128/5 in 18.3 overs.

7:12 PM IST: Rahane starts the over with a six and collects 9 runs off it. Suddenly the target seems gettable. RR 125/4 after 18 overs.

7:09 PM IST: Three overs to go and RR need to go for broke now. They are 116/4 after 17 overs.

7:04 PM IST: Rashid Khan keeps the pressure mounting against Rajasthan. RR are 109/4 after 16 overs.

6:57 PM IST: Sandeep Sharma brings his spell to an end with a splendid over. He ends with figures of 4-0-15-1. RR 102/4 after 15 overs and the timeout has been taken.

6:51 PM IST: OUT! Rashid Khan ends the over by removing Jos Buttler! This is a massive wicket for SRH. Buttler c Dhawan b Rashid Khan 10(11). RR 96/4 after 14 overs.

6:48 PM IST: Yusuf’s second over isn’t as good as his first. RR need to keep the flow of runs going if they are to get into a position of winning the game. RR are 91/3 after 13 overs.

6:45 PM IST: Shakib follows up Pathan’s over with another good one, giving away just five runs. RR are 82/3 after 12 overs.

6:42 PM IST: Pathan’s first over is a good one, yileding just five runs and a wicket. RR 77/3 after 11 overs.

6:38 PM IST: OUT! Yusuf Pathan strikes in his first over, removing Ben Stokes! RR are in a bit of trouble now. Stokes b Y Pathan 0(3), RR 73/3 after 10.2 overs.

6:35 PM IST: OUT! Siddarth Kaul removes Sanju Samson and the curse of the time-out strikes once again! Samson c Hales b S Kaul 40(30). RR 72/2 after 10 overs.

6:29 PM IST: Samson and Rahane are well-settled and SRH need to get either of them if they are to have any chance of winning this game. RR are 69/1 after 9 overs and the strategic timeout has been taken.

6:25 PM IST: Rashid Khan’s first over of the game is an expensive one, going for 10 runs. RR are 60/1 after 8 overs.

6:21 PM IST: Shakib’s second over goes for seven runs. Samson and Rahane biding their time here. RR are 50/1 after 7 overs.

6:17 PM IST: Siddarth Kaul goes for eight runs in his first over. RR are 43/1 at the end of the powerplays.

6:12 PM IST: Sandeep Sharma continues to pile on the pressure here. He’s been phenomenal thus far. RR are 35/1 after 5 overs.

6:06 PM IST: Single off the last ball for Samson. Costly over from Thampi, 17 runs off it. RR are 31/1 after 4 overs.

6:01 PM IST: OUT! Sandeep gets the scalp of Tripathi. Samson comes to the crease. RR are 14/1 after 3 overs.

5:34 PM IST: Archer bowls the last over and gives away only 8 runs, snapping up another wicket in the process. SRH end the innings at 151/7. Good comeback from RR given how well Williamson and Hales were playing at one point. The chase won’t be an easy one, given the bowling SRH possess.

5:29 PM IST: OUT! Manish Pandey c Rahane b Unadkat 16(15). SRH are crumbling towards the end now. They are 143/6 after 19 overs.

5:23 PM IST: OUT! Archer ends the over the way he started it: with a wicket. Y Pathan c D Kulkarni b Jofra Archer 2(3). SRH are 137/5 after 18 overs.

5:19 PM IST: OUT! Shakib Al Hasan b Jofra Archer 6(6). What a time to get a breakthrough.

5:17 PM IST: Stokes gives away 7 runs in the 17th over, which isn’t too bad at all. SRH 133/3 with 3 overs left to play.

5:10 PM IST: Krishnappa Gowtham’s fine spell comes to an end. Figures of 4-0-18-2 are very good no matter the situation of the game. SRH are 126/3 after 16 overs, and it is time for the time-out.

5:06 PM IST: Ish Sodhi gets the all-important wicket of Kane Williamson in the 15th over, meaning SRH have now lost both set batsmen. SRH 120-3 after 15 overs.

5:02 PM IST: Gowtham’s 3rd over was exactly what RR wanted. SRH 113/2 after 14 overs.

4:59 PM IST: OUT! Krishnappa Gowtham strikes again, this time removing Alex Hales. That’s a shame for SRH since he looked likely to get a fifty as well. SRH 109/2 after 13.3 overs.

4:57 PM IST: Joffra Archer does well to peg things back a bit for RR, only giving away 8 runs in the 13th over. SRH are 107/1 after 13 overs.

4:53 PM IST: Jaydev Undakat is absolutely taken to the cleaners by Kane Williamson in the 12th over! Three fours and a six in that over take him to his half-century. What an innings this has been. SRH 99/1 after 12 overs.

4:48 PM IST: Mahipal Romror bowls his first over and it was going well until the final ball when he bowled a half-tracker and was duly dispatched by Hales. SRH 78/1 after 11 overs.

4:44 PM IST: Stokes bowls the first over after the powerplay. Hales smashes him for a four on the first ball but Stokes does well to give away only 3 runs off the next five balls. SRH are 70/1 after 10 overs.

4:40 PM IST: The pitch seems sluggish to bat on. Spinners will have a field day today but Sunrisers Hyderabad have been aided by sloppy catching from Rajasthan Royals. A total of 140-150 could be match-winning considering the current form of the SRH bowlers.

4:38 PM IST: Sodhi almost managed to get Hales out twice but both times the ball landed before the fielder. To add insult to injury, he ended the over with a boundary. SRH 63/1 after 9 overs and it is time for the strategic timeout.

4:34 PM IST: It’s now Stokes’ turn to roll his arm and his first over goes for six runs. Not a bad start for him. SRH are 54/1 after 8 overs.

4:30 PM IST: Rahane now hands Ish Sodhi the ball and his first ever over in the IPL is a mixed bag as he conceded 9 runs. SRH are 48/1 after 7 overs. More of this is needed for the away side.

4:26 PM IST: Ajinkya Rahane continues to ring in the bowling changes, this time bringing on Jaydev Undakat. His first over is a good one, going for just six runs. SRH are 39/1 at the end of the powerplay.

4:21 PM IST: Joffra Archer’s first over goes for seven runs. SRH are 33/1 after 5 overs.

4:16 PM IST: Better over from Kulkarni but he still gives away six runs. SRH are 26/1 after 4 overs.

4:12 PM IST: Gowtham continues to put SRH under pressure with some tight bowling. They are 20/1 after 3 overs.

4:08 PM IST: BOWLED! Gowtham strikes and removes Dhawan. Dhawan b Gowtham 6(4). Just what the doctor ordered for RR.

4:07 PM IST: Dhawal Kulkarni’s first over is an expensive one, yielding fifteen runs - 12 of which came in boundaries. SRH are 17/0 after 2 overs.

4:02 PM IST: Gowtham’s first over is a good one. SRH are 2/0 after the first over.

4:00 PM IST: Shikhar Dhawan and Alex Hales to open for SRH; Krishnappa Gowtham to open the bowling.

3:55 PM IST: Five minutes away from the start of the game. RR need quick wickets to keep SRH from posting a big total.

3:50 PM IST: The pitch looks like a batsman friendly one, meaning SRH’s top-order will need to fire today. Lots of pressure on Williamson and Dhawan.

3:45 PM IST: Quick trivia about Mahipal Lomror - he was a part of the India U-19 cricket team in the 2016 U-19 Cricket World Cup which lost to West Indies in the final.

3:40 PM IST: Two changes for RR - Ish Sodhi comes in for Ben Laughlin and local lad Mahipal Lomror replaces Shreyas Gopal.

3:35 PM IST: Just the one team change for SRH - Alex Hales comes in for Mohammad Nabi. Which means that Bhuvneshwar Kumar misses out again.

3:30 PM IST: Sunrisers Hyderabad win the toss, opt to bat vs. Rajasthan Royals. This is an interesting move. The heat as well as the fact that SRH’s bowlers are their biggest strength were the motivating factors behind Kane Williamson’s decision.

3:25 PM IST: Carlos Brathwaite’s addition - should it happen - can do two things. One, it could enhance Sunrisers Hyderabad’s death bowling. Second, Jaipur could see the him going head-to-head with Ben Stokes yet again. Remember, it was Brathwaite who had smashed Stokes for four sixes in the final of the ICC World T20 2016 to hand West Indies the title.

3:20 PM IST: Another bit of team news concerning SRH: “Bhuvneshwar Kumar not practising much. Looks like he might miss today’s game as well,” says Siddharth.

3:15 PM IST: We are minutes away from the toss now. Even given just how much IPL sides like to chase, wouldn’t be too shocked if the captain who wins the toss decides to bat first due to the heat.

3:10 PM IST: “Carlos Brathwaite bowling a lot on the side pitch. Had an extended net session yesterday. Looks like he might play today,” says Siddharth from Jaipur. This would be an interesting team change for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

3:05 PM IST: Our correspondent in Jaipur, Siddharth Vishwanathan, has this update on the weather conditions: “43 degrees with 0% chance of rain. You can forget moisture on this Jaipur deck. The heat is absolutely brutal”. Well, that’s good news for people who don’t like getting into the intricacies of the Duckworth-Lewis method!

3:00 PM IST: Hello and welcome to live coverage of the match between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad!

Rajasthan were on their way to suffer back-to-back defeats before a superb cameo from all-rounder Krishnappa Gowtham helped them stun Mumbai Indians by three wickets last Sunday. The hosts are looking forward to skipper Ajinkya Rahane to lead them by example, and the India Test vice-captain must be eager to live up to the expectations.

However, Sunrisers Hyderabad have shown tremendous fighting abilities so far this and the very impressive win ratio is proof of that. Batting lynchpin Shikhar Dhawan will look to make merry, having missed out on the previous match against KXIP.

A certain Kane Williamson is always an asset to any team while Manish Pandey’s confidence has surely gone up after what proved to be a critical half-century against KXIP.
