Buddha-Bar Beach has made its Middle East debut, bringing Pacific Rim cuisine, cocktails, and cutting-edge beats to The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi.
The day-to-night destination takes the famous brand alfresco, bringing bohemian chic design and opulent decor into all-natural elements that integrate stones, wood and colorful organic features with futuristic undertones, and vintage flavors.
“Buddha-Bar Beach is a concept based on a unifying philosophy. It creates a space in which guests enjoy diverse yet complementary experiences. Raising the bar worldwide for its innovative blend of gastronomy, hospitality, music, and mixology, it is sure to become a magnet for discerning travelers alongside the UAE capital’s most sophisticated clientele,” said Marwan Fadel, General Manager of The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi.
“From its relaxing lounge area to its elegant dining space, the venue serves up a plethora of pleasures, all set to a stimulating soundtrack from its skillful resident and guest DJs. Our guests will definitely have a unique dinning and lifestyle experience combined with breathtaking beachfront views.”
With exotic dishes from across the Far East, Buddha-Bar Beach Abu Dhabi is an enticing prospect for gourmands. Its Pacific Rim menu include a divine Wagyu rib-eye steak and the signature worldwide-known Buddha-Bar Chicken Salad that features Chinese leaves, coriander, honey sauce and molasses. Its show kitchen features cevicheria, sushi counter, and robata grill visible to guests as they enter the space.
The food is complemented by an extensive selection of beverages. Imaginative cocktails concocted by expert mixologists include The Art of Essence, which takes inspiration from the world of perfume, featuring fragrant ingredients including bergamot, dry lemon, and jasmine.
Buddha-Bar Beach Abu Dhabi has a seating capacity of 290 covers, comprising 94 for the terrace, 78 for the restaurant, 54 in the bar, 52 in the lounge, and six each for the sushi bar and robata grill. Designed by Sedley Place Design Ltd of London, the interior mixes classic beach items with more modern ones, while the soft lighting creates a special, comforting atmosphere, providing a sense of serenity.
Saxophonists will perform sunset sessions five evenings a week; there will also be a steady rotation of guest DJs.

About Buddha-Bar Beach
The Buddha-Bar concept was born in France in 1996, thanks to the visionary imagination of its founder Raymond Visan – owner of legendary Paris hangout Barfly – opened Buddha-Bar Paris on the chic Faubourg St Honoré.
Combining a restaurant, bar and lounge, the concept took aesthetic and culinary inspiration from the exotic cultures of the Pacific Rim coupled with Western touches inspired by his numerous trips to California.
In the subsequent decades, the concept has flourished, with its unique vibe now found in destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Today, Buddha-Bar and its sister brands have a combined presence in more than 25 countries, with further launches planned. Its portfolio of restaurants, bars, lounges, spas, and hotels combine French elegance with neo-Asian design elements including rich color palettes, sleek furnishings and plush, opulent textiles.
Flavorsome Asian-fusion and Mediterranean cuisine and delectable cocktails crafted by expert mixologists are served against a backdrop of eclectic, pulsating beats spun by globally respected DJs. Visan’s vision of an ‘endless summer’ lives on in vibrant venues that offer a truly immersive experience.
