The portals of the sacred Kedarnath shrine in Uttarakhand re-opened this morning. Necessary arrangements have been made by the state government to facilitate a smooth yatra for the pilgrims.
Adequate electricity, water, health and safety arrangements have been made on the route from Gaurikund to Kedarnath and availability of doctors has been ensured at every kilometre along the route.
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said this year's yatra will have several new features, including a daily laser show on Lord Shiva at Kedarpuri, to make the visitors' experience more enriching.
All Gangotri and Yamunotri shrines have already been re-opened, while the gates of Badrinath will re-open tomorrow.
