"Chief Deputy Darrald Choate told commissioners it was sometimes not possible to give deputies time off and still maintain 24-hour patrols. Commissioner Lee Harvey then said state law does not require the county to provide any specific amount of patrols, or any at all." (KFDX, Channel 3)
So, County Commissioner Lee Harvey wants to now stop county patrols? Unbelievable.
It is no wonder our county is not growing . The city wants to tax people to death. The county wants to take away our protection and break the morale of every county employee.
Sheriff Duke handled it so well, enlightening me and a lot of others in saying "you are not the boss of me!" (my paraphrase). I really thought they were. But the Sheriff's office is a department set a part.
Lee Harvey must live inside the city limits (Burkburnett?). Or we must be living in a sit-com. Harvey plays fast and loose with my safety and security. Thank God I have Mark Beauchamp as my precinct's rep.
Come on , Precinct 2 , vote Lee Harvey out next term. He has done enough damage. I am for what Judge Sons suggested. Leave them alone, at least for a year.
