U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Arrives in Israel

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo landed in Israel on Sunday and was received at the airport by U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman.

Pompeo is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Monday afternoon.

Pompeo, who is arriving straight from visiting Riyadh, is scheduled to meet Netanyahu three days after being sworn in last Thursday.

While speaking in Riyadh, the U.S. Secretary of State, said that the United States plans to leave the Iran deal, unless it can be altered in a way that would prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
