UP Board Results 2018 for Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations were declared on Sunday. Officials said 75.16% students cleared the Class 10 exam while 72.43% cleared the Class 12 exam.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated students who passed the exams saying, “I am really happy that such a good result has come. I want to congratulate everyone who has passed in these examinations. This time all the exams were held without any complaints of cheating coming from anywhere.”

Anjali Verma of Brij Behari Sahai Intercollege in Allahabad was the topper in Class 10 with 96.35 percentage.

of Sarvodaya Intercollege in Fatehpur and of Shri Sai Intercollege, Barabanki, were the joint toppers in Class 12 with 93.2 percentage.

Happy with her results, said she wanted to become an engineer.

#The examination committee meeting is underway. Both Class 10 and 12 results will be simultaneously.

#The examination committee meeting is to discuss details of the results to be declared, comparison of pass percentage of previous years, the reasons behind the rise or fall per centre, errors if any in preparation of results to be addressed at the last minute before declaration etc.

#Officials have arrived at the Board headquarters to attend the mandatory examination committee meeting, from 11am onwards, before heading for the press briefing to declare the results.

# UP Board director Awadh Naresh Sharma arrived from Lucknow at 9 am while secretary Neena Srivastava arrived from Delhi with results at 7am.

# Preparations for declaration of results at Board’s headquarters have been completed, said senior officials of the Board who reviewed arrangements on Saturday.

# Some of the examinees in Allahabad visited temples or prayed at home while some tried to beat the anxiety pangs with an outing with friends and family members on Saturday.

# Students in Lucknow looked a touch nervous while a few other students said that they were simultaneously excited because this year exams were conducted under CCTV vigil.

# Divyanshi Singh, a Class 10 student of SKD Academy, said, “I am not at all worried about the result. Because of strictness in board exams, we prepared very well throughout the year.”

# Poonam an Intermediate student, is looking forward to their higher education in university.

# Anushka Mishra, a class 10 student of Rani Reoti Devi Inter College, is also nervous as she feels that strict evaluation this time will affect grades. “The long wait for results is torturous. I am praying hard and have been going to the temple every day after the exams,” she said.
