JMM gears up for three-day conclave

A meeting was held at the residence of JMM president Shibu Soren on Saturday to discuss about the proposals to be taken up during the three-day general convention scheduled to be held in the next month at Vinod Bihari Mahto Court (Maithan) in Dhanbad. The three committees formed to prepare the blue print met and gave final touch to blueprint after having an intensive discussion on the issue.

“As the general convention is being held on May 6, 7 and 8 in Dhanbad, the committee members today sat separately and chalked out the final blue print of the topics to be taken up during the convention,” said party’s General Secretary Vinod Pandey. The three committees   are related to -- Political Agenda, Constitutional Amendment and about the further programmes to be conducted by the party in future, he added.

“Based on the blueprint prepared by these committees, topics will be taken up during the three- day convention headed by Party Chief Shibu Soren and executive president Hemant Soren along with other party leaders and workers in Dhanbad,” said Pandey.

Interestingly, representatives from Bihar, West Bengal, Tamilnadu, Assam and Odisha will also take part in the convention. During this, besides presenting the political agenda, election of the party president, executive president and new working committee will also take place and party activities since the last General Convention will also be discussed at large.  

In the light of fresh election of working committee, all party units at the Panchayat and block level have been dissolved so that the Party Chief could form new units.
