KATHMANDU: The first elective general assembly of Nepal Kurash Association on Saturday unanimously elected 18-member executive committee under Dhruba Raj Neupane.
Jeevan Rai was elected as senior vice-president, while Deepak Bahadur Singh, Dilli Bahadur Dangi and Prakash Chandra Bhattarai were elected vice-presidents. Likewise, Pratikshya Kharel was elected as the general secretary, while Hari Ram Dhungana and Dev Raj Lama were elected the secretary and treasurer respectively. Also, Sanjib Gurung, Diwas Tiwari, Bikash Bikram Shah, Jay Gurung, Deepak Shrestha, Bishnu Kumar Shrestha, Hari Shrestha, Padam Bahadur Kunwar, Yasu Kumari Lama and Asal Rai were elected as the members.
General Secretary of Nepal Olympic Committee Lama Tendi Sherpa handed over certificates to the newly elected officials. Meanwhile, NKA felicitated international medallist Bhagawati Majhi on the occasion. — HNS
