Avengers 4 ‘is BETTER than Infinity War’: Writers tease aftermath of cliffhanger ending
AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR’s writers have promised that its as-yet-untitled sequel will not disappoint when it releases next year.
The Marvel blockbusters are both written by Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus, and now that Infinity War is out in the open, fans’ attentions are turning to what happens next.
WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD - Do not read on if you have yet to see Avengers: Infinity War.
The end of Infinity War saw Thanos, in possession of the six Infinity Stones, literally wipe out half of humanity.
This meant that huge swathes of MCU favourites disintegrated into nothingness: including, but not limited to, King T’Challa, Spider-Man, Star-Lord, Scarlet Witch, Mantis, Drax, Doctor Strange and Bucky Barnes.

In fact, very few now remain - but, interestingly, the core group of original Avengers, the ones most hotly-tipped to be exiting the MCU (Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, Hulk) are among them.
Fans are already speculating about the dead returning and possibly switching places with the living, but for now we just have to sit tight and wait for a whole year before we get definitive answers.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, McFeely and Markus have, at least, promised us that Avengers 4 will not disappoint.
Asked if Avengers 4 is their final Marvel movie, McFeely said: “If it is, we're pretty happy with it. Because boy, Avengers 4, if anything, is better than what you just saw.”

“And bigger,” added Markus.
“We're very pleased with how it's shaping up,” McFeely continued.
“We started this new company. We would love to go back to Marvel at some point, if they'll have us. But we have this weird, new job where we get to help out a lot of other projects and write our own. It's really sort of a dream scenario. If it doesn't kill us, we'd like to try it for a while.”

Avengers: Infinity War is, as expected, battering the box office - and will likely end 2018 as one of the year’s biggest films, and possibly one of the highest-grossing of all time.
It has managed 86% on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, which is about mid-table in the grand scheme of the MCU.
