June Lee Denton, 66, of Madison Heights, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018, at her residence surrounded by family. She was the wife of the late Roger Steven Denton. Born in Lynchburg, on December 16, 1951, she was the daughter of Fayetta Reynolds Lee of Madison Heights the late Thomas J. Lee. In addition to her husband and father, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Thomas "P-Pie" Denton. June was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son, Thomas Brian Denton; her daughter, Marla Denton Buck and her husband, Joseph; her sister, Regina L. Fulcher; two brothers, Ronnie T. Lee and James H. Lee and his wife, Sadie; three grandchildren, Caleb Buck, Tyler Buck, and Sydnie Stinnette, and many cherished nieces and nephews. A service celebrating her life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2018, at Oakdale Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Wornstaff officiating. Interment will follow in Meade Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2018, at Whitten Monelison Chapel and at other times at the residence.
