10,351 teacher posts will be filled, says HRD Minister

HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao on Saturday announced the schedule of the District Selection Committee (DSC) - 2018 to fill 10,351 posts in the government, Zilla Parishad, Mandal Praja Parishad, and municipal schools across the State.

The notification for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) would be issued on May 4 and that for Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) on July 6.

The break-up with the number of posts in brackets is as follows: Secondary Grade Teacher (4,967); School Assistant (2,978); Language Pandit (312); Physical Education Teacher (1,056); music and dance teacher (109); and model school teacher (929).

TET dates

Paper I will be conducted from June 10 to 12; Paper II A on June 13, 15, 17 and 19; and Paper II B on June 21.

The examinations will be conducted in two sessions – 9.30 a.m. to 12 noon, and 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The application forms can be submitted online (www.cse.ap.gov.in) from May 5 to 23. Fee can be paid from May 5 to 22.

Online mock test facility will be available from May 25. Candidates can download the hall-tickets from June 3.

The initial and final keys will be published on June 22 and 28 respectively, and the final result will be declared on June 30.

TRT schedule

Application forms have to be submitted online (www.cse.ap.gov.in) from July 7 to August 9.

The last date for payment of fee is August 8. Hall-tickets can be downloaded from August 15.

Eligible candidates can also take online mock test from August 1.

Syllabus

Mr. Srinivasa Rao said the syllabus pertaining to DSC-2018 would soon be released to enable the eligible candidates prepare well for the online TRT scheduled from August 23 to 30.

It would be conducted in two sessions – 9.30 a.m. to 12 noon, and 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m., he said.

The initial and final keys would be released on August 31 and September 10 respectively, and the final results would be declared on September 15.

Infrastructure

Mr. Srinivasa Rao said the government was readying plans to provide infrastructure in 45,000 government schools across the State.

“The improved amenities and teacher-student ratio will further strengthen the enrolment in the government schools,” the Minister said, and added that it would bring down the dropout rate.
