CHITWAN: One out of four rhinos meant to be gifted to China has been taken under control by Chitwan National Park officials on Saturday.
Although an attempt to get hold on a rhinoceros between the age of one or two was ongoing since Friday, the officials were able to tranquillise the wild animal today, said CNP Information Officer Narendra Aryal.
According to Aryal, unfavourable conditions for darting a female rhino forced the team to capture a male rhino instead.
The two-year-old male rhinoceros was taken to Sauraha following its capture to be domesticated for nearly three months before it begins a journey to China with other three rhinos.
