Actor Neetu Chandra will be seen in a short film.

With movie actors such as Ali Fazal, Raveena Tandon, Richa Chadha and many more shedding their inhibitions about entering the digital space, actor Neetu Chandra, too, has made her way to the web with a short film, The Playboy Mr Sawhney. In the project, the actor will play the role of a firebrand writer. “The Playboy Mr Sawhney is a wonderful film, and I’m sure the audiences are going to love it. It comprises an ensemble cast,” says Neetu, who was last seen in singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s music video, Banjarey.

The 33-year-old, who debuted with Garam Masala in 2005, turned producer with Deswa (2011), adds, “Digital medium will very soon be bigger than feature films, both in India and globally. It is already being talked about as the future of entertainment.”

“In this world,” adds the actor, “Where you have new things coming up... making, distributing and releasing a film is like preparing for giving birth to a child i.e. it takes one or one and a half years. Whereas in the digital space, it’s a quick process where one can experiment with different things on a smaller budget without being complicated.”
