Priyanka Chopra’s Quantico premiered its third season on Thursday and registered the lowest ratings in its slot. According to a new report, the show was watched by 2.8 million total viewers, down from season 1 premiere’s 7.14 million and season 2’s 3.64 million.

CBS finished first on the evening, with Big Bang Theory, its spin-off Young Sheldon and Mom leading the pack. Fox was second, thanks to the 2018 NFL draft. But even among ABC shows, Quantico came in last.

Priyanka did the rounds on several American talk shows to promote the new season - she made appearances on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Good Morning America and others.

After the dip in viewership in the second season, CBS brought the episode order for season 3 down to 13 from 22. Series creator Joshua Safran was also replaced as showrunner by Michael Seitzman in season 3.

Here’s an overview for the new season:

Three years after the events of the Constitutional Convention, former CIA analyst, Alex Parrish had to escape outside the United States in order to avoid arrest from law enforcement authorities. After living anonymously in Italy, she is forced to return to America after Ryan shared information to her about Shelby’s kidnapping by a notorious international arms dealer known as The Widow. In order to save Shelby, Ryan and Alex recruit Owen and Harry to help them with their mission.

Quantico airs on Star World and Star World HD in India.
