Patthargarhi is a sign of people’s rebellion and is an outcome of the distress of the tribals in the BJP rule of past 15 years in the State. The ruling BJP government never implemented on the special rules and regulations framed for them, alleged Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) Chief Bhupesh Baghel.

Baghel while addressing media persons here at Congress Bhawan expressed his apprehension that the tribal populace of the Jashpur region have lost faith in the government and the administration.

Situation is grim all over North Chhattisgarh and the flame is going to spread in Southern part too, he said.

Baghel, however, asserted that the Congress party will not go beyond the constitutional provision and would support the rights of tribals within the constitutional limit, he said.

He also denied that that there was any indiscipline if Congress leaders are claiming for the coveted post of Chief Minister from the party.
