County Championship fixtures: Essex and Yorkshire both away this weekend
ESSEX and Yorkshire both face away matches in this weekend’s County Championship fixtures.
Yorkshire, who top Division One, make the journey to Somerset.
It is bound to be a tough match at Taunton, with the ground generally conducive to spin bowling.
And Yorkshire bowler Jack Brooks is wary of his own form in the south-west, having taken just one wicket in three County Championship matches at the ground.
“I’ve got a rubbish record,” Brooks said.
“The length I bowl doesn’t quite work down there. You need to bowl a little bit shorter otherwise you’ll go for a lot of runs.
“I’ve spoken about it with the Overton twins (Craig and Jamie) when I’ve trained with them, and they say ‘You probably bowl a bit full’.
