John "Jay" Pribulsky, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, in Mechanicsburg, Pa. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Frances. He was born April 8, 1930, in New Castle, Pa., and relocated with his wife and family to Mechanicsburg in 1971. Jay, an accomplished businessman, spent his career in sales for companies including Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, Brunswick Corporation, Bell & Howell Company and Racal Security. Jay and his wife also successfully represented several national brands of jewelry, art, and gourmet food products throughout the mid-Atlantic region for several years. Jay served with the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, N.C. He was a devout Pittsburgh Steelers fan, loved all sports and excelled in football, basketball and track. A graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, he lettered for the football team from 1951-53 and played basketball. Jay was also inducted into the Ambridge High School Hall of Fame. He will lovingly be remembered by his daughter, Susan Hrip and husband, Rick of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and their sons, Andrew and Max; his daughter, Jaycee Pribulsky and husband, Eric Burd of Portland, Ore., and their daughters, Holland and Merritt; and his son, Gary Pribulsky, and his children, Nikolas, Darius and Kaitlin. Visitations will be held on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the JOHN SYKA FUNERAL HOME INC., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, where a prayer will be offered on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. at the Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 404 6th Street, Ambridge, Pa.
