NFL Draft RECAP: All the action from Round 1 as Patriots pick up Isaiah Wynn

In Layman’s terms, the NFL Draft is an annual event where all of the American football teams get to pick from the best college players.

The team with the worst win to loss ratio from the previous season gets the first pick in a bid to ensure the league is fairly balanced.

WHO GETS FIRST PICK IN ROUND 1? FULL ORDER REVEALED

The Cleveland Browns kicked off proceedings this year.

However, teams can trade picks, this year or in future years, for players, meaning some teams may not pick until later rounds.

There are seven rounds of picks which take place across the weekend.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield earned the first pick of the Draft as Cleveland Browns acquired the Oklahoma man.

New England Patriots acquired two picks in Round 1 and chose tackle Isaiah Wynn and running back Sony Michel.
