Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor look ultra glam in this Veere Di Wedding promo pic

Veere Di Wedding starring a quartet of friends who are on a journey to find themselves sure has to thank Sex and The City for bringing friendship among women in vogue. And one thing we can surely say about Messrs Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte is that they were surely stylish. Not that Kareena Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor – fashion divas in their own right and uber stylish in Veere Di Wedding – are any different.

So, a day after the film came out with its trailer, headliners Kareena and Sonam posed for a special promo shoot and the result is spectacular. They had the film’s co-producer and Sonam’s sister, Rhea Kapoor, with them too and the trio is surely sending the mercury soaring as they pose in black and gold.

While Kareena chose a black dress with a train for the shoot, Sonam goes desi in a black-and-gold lehenga and bustier choli. Rhea chose a black saree with a blingy cape. Now, what we have here is a sample and can’t wait for the entire photoshoot to come out. It seems they will be donning multiple looks in the shoot.

While Veere Di Wedding is being promoted as not a chick flick, the vibes the audience is getting is of a fun film headlined by women.

At the trailer launch, Sonam had said, “I don’t think a film like this has been made before. It is entertaining and has everything from romance to drama. And why can’t a female headline a commercial film that is about girls which has a story? Things might change if this film works, I hope it brings about a change in the roles that are written for us.”

Veere di Wedding, also starring Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania, releases on June 1.
