NTRUHS puts in place tough measures

Candidates quitting before the final round of counselling after obtaining admission to post-graduate medical and dental degree/diploma seats in colleges under the purview of Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) have to pay a discontinuation fee of ₹3 lakh. This is one of the measures taken by the NTRUHS following complaints of blocking of the PG seats.

It was stated in a press release that such candidates would also be debarred from admission for three years.

Candidates should not leave, vacate or withdraw the allotted seats after the final phase of counselling or till June 15 under any circumstances.

The candidates can, however, slide or upgrade to other seats by obtaining a relief order from the colleges allotted earlier in the State.

The principals of all private medical colleges have been directed to deposit the original certificates of the candidates with NTRUHS.

Besides, a candidate who opted and got allotment in the 1st phase of counselling for a management quota seat has to join in that seat without fail lest he or she should be rendered disqualified to exercise the option in the subsequent rounds of counselling.
