Convicted sex offender will spend 6 years in prison for taking photos up woman's skirt

A 75-year-old Georgetown man who is already registered as a Tier 3 sex offender for a previous rape conviction will spend six years in prison after pleading guilty to taking photos up a woman's skirt while she was shopping.

Charles Duffy was declared a habitual offender by a state Superior Court judge, according to the state Department of Justice. He also had Pennsylvania convictions for burglary, aggravated robbery and forcible rape in 1972, and attempted rape in 1978.

In addition to this sentence, he still faces a violation of parole hearing relating to a first-degree rape conviction that landed Duffy 30 years in prison.  

Investigators determined that Duffy took photos up a woman's skirt in a Georgetown Dollar Tree in September. A customer notified the store manager after watching Duffy take the photos, according to the state.

He is currently being held at Sussex Correctional Institution near Georgetown.
