Male stabbed as he tries to break up fight in Wilmington, police say

A male was stabbed in a Wilmington park while trying to break up a fight between females Friday night, police say.

At about 8:30 p.m., police were notified a stabbing victim had walked into St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington after arriving by a private vehicle. 

The victim, whose age was not provided by police, was stabbed in his rib cage area in Kosciusko Park, authorities say.

He is listed in stable condition, police say.
