Qualcomm Inc. said Friday that it would be extending the cash tender offer for shares of NXP Semiconductors NV which the company is in the process of trying to acquire. The new tender offer will expire at 5 p.m. ET on May 11, the company said, "unless extended or earlier terminated." Qualcomm's stock is up 0.5% in premarket trading, while NXP's stock is up 0.6%. Qualcomm shares are down 21% so far this year, while the S&P 500 has dropped 0.3%.
