Worker killed in mine site accident near Collie, in WA's South West

A man has been killed in a workplace accident on a mine site near the town of Collie, in WA's South West.
Police said no information about the man — who is aged in his 40s — would be released until his next-of-kin had been notified.
The ABC understands he was crushed by heavy machinery about 11:00pm on Thursday at the Ewington coal mine, just east of Collie.
Worksafe and Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety investigators are travelling to the site.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
