FALL RIVER — The defense, passing, setting and hitting were all sharp on Thursday as Durfee defeated New Bedford 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-22) in Big 3 Conference volleyball at Durfee's Luke Urban Field House.

The Hilltoppers are 6-5.

Eddie Feliciano (14 digs), James Rebello (8 digs) and Nelson Cardoso (net) were the defensive standouts.

Cam Branco, the setter, had 34 assists and spread the wealth well. Joe Camara put away 15 kills, Danny Keyes 10, Nilin Nehra 9, and Nick Cardoso 5.
