Bhopal: Members and workers of the Congress party started preparations to welcome the newly appointed state president Kamal Nath with a grand programme scheduled on May 1. According to Nath’s ardent supporter Narendra Saluja, the state president will visit Delhi to attend a rally on April 29 and he is currently keeping busy in the preparations for the same.
After attending the rally he will return to the PCC office on May 1, he added. The leader said that “Nath having a huge fan following in every part of the state, his supporters can’t wait anymore for his return and to see him at the helm of party affairs in the state.” According to reports, as Kamal Nath would formally take charge of the state unit president on May 1, the Congress will take out a grand rally to commemorate the occasion.
The rally will later culminate into a public meeting, said the sources, adding that as Nath had dissolved the executive working committee, the new committee will be formed after he assumes office. Chief spokesperson of the Congress state unit, KK Mishra informed that apart from the executive working committee, the committees of spokesperson and media panellists have also been dissolved in the party
