Earlier this week, she glittered in a gold mini dress at the world premiere for Avengers: Infinity war in Los Angeles.
But on Thursday, Gwyneth Paltrow addressed a more somber moment in her life - her battle with postpartum depression following the birth of her son Moses, now 12.
Speaking with her mother Blythe Danner in a goop podcast, the actress said the experience 'was really shocking to me because I never thought that I would be a person who got post-natal depression.'
Paltrow was, at the time, married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and had already given birth to the couple's first child, daughter Apple, two years earlier.
'I was so euphoric when Apple was born and I assumed it would happen with Mosey and it just … it took a while. I really went into a dark place,' she recalled.
It's not the first time the Shakespeare In Love Oscar winner has spoken about her battle with postpartum depression.
In 2015, she talked about the experience as being 'a very debilitating thing.'
And before that, in 2011, she explained in an interview with Good Housekeeping that she felt 'like a zombie' after the birth of her son.
'I couldn’t access my heart. I couldn’t access my emotions. I couldn’t connect,' she said. 'It was terrible....... I just thought it meant I was a terrible mother and a terrible person.'
Paltrow and Martin 'consciously uncoupled' in 2014 after 10 years of marriage and finalized their divorce in 2016.
They continue to co-parent their two children.
The Iron Man star and goop businesswoman is now engaged to producer Brad Falchuk and the couple held a star-studded 'celebration of our love' at the Los Angeles Theater earlier this month.
