Taika Waititi shows us who is the man of the hugs.

If there's anyone in the world dishing out the best hugs, snuggles and giggles, it's got to be New Zealand's own Taika Waititi.

Aside from stealing hearts in Hollywood, the New Zealander of the Year is also breaking the internet with his adorable body hugs and playful ways.

Waititi directed Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok and, despite having not worked on Marvel's Avengers, the love is still strong with his Marvel family.

Not all embraces are posed pieces of art, such as this beautiful clip of him grabbing Dr Strange's Benedict Wong for a full on back hug.

That overload of cuteness doesn't stop.

Here he embraces Thor:Ragnarok star Jeff Goldblum. We've used the verb embrace, but it could also be that he is submitting his soul to the ever genius legend that Goldblum is. Decide for yourself.

In this shot with Thor star Chris Hemsworth, Waititi moulds his back and neck into the shoulder of Hemsworth in what can only be called a glorious piece of art.

Waititi looks relaxed and nonchalant, which is how one might imagine it would be if one were to snuggle into Thor's shoulders.

While we're on the subject of Thor, here is Waititi in his natural state, working hard to produce quality Hollywood films.

And finally, here he is admiring the cuteness that he has himself could only create.

Or perhaps he was just thinking, "Matt Damon".
