Even as the government formulated more stringent laws against sexual abuse and several steps were taken to save members of the fairer sex from trauma, the morale of sexual offenders do not seem to be dampening.

In a sensational case reported from Barabanki, three youths drugged a minor girl and made her objectionable video. Later to blackmail the victim and her family, the accused sent the MMS to her brother and demanded Rs 1 lakh and jewellery failing which they threatened to upload the clippings on social media. Left with no option the hapless family reported the matter to the police.

As per reports, Vishnu Soni, Sanjay Soni and Sanjay were acquianted with the girl and called her to Barabanki on some pretext on April 1. They later served her a soft drink laced with some intoxicant and as she fainted, they filmed her in objectionable poses.

After the miscreants started demanding cahs and jewellery and threatened to upload the clippings, the family complained to the police, who registered a case only on Wednesday. Efforts were being made to nab the accused.

Meanwhile two cases of raped were reported from Muzaffarnagar and Sambhal respectively. In Muzaffarnagar, a 15-year-old girl was raped by local youth Kallu at gunpoint in Rahekda village. The girl had gone to a near-by jungle to pick firewood on Wednesday evening when the incident occured. The accused escaped after the girl lost consciousness. When she did not return home till late, her family members searched for her and found her lying in the jungles. She was taken to a hospital where she revealed her trauma. On the complaint lodged by the victim’s uncle, a case was registered and the girl was medically examined. Raids were being conducted to nab the accused.

In Sambhal, a young girl was raped by her relative and found to be pregnant during medical examination when she complained of abdominal pain in a village in Ginnaur area

The incident came to light when the minor girl, complained of abdominal pain and doctors diagnosed that she was pregnant. Late on Wednesday night, she delivered a still born baby at District Hospital, Shamli.

The girl’s father lodged an FIR against a relative Ratan Singh charging him of raping the victim about seven months ago and threatening her against telling anyone about it. The father claimed that the girl recounted the incident only after doctors diagnosed her pregnancy. The police are now making efforts to nab the culprit.
