Dempo Sports Club scored a 3-0 victory over Churchill Brothers to clinch the GFA U-18 League title with a game to spare. This is Dempo’s second youth level title of the season- the first being the U-14.

Dempo took the lead through Altroy Rodrigues in the 29th minute after tapping in a cross from Aaron Alvares.

Four minutes later Dempo doubled their lead after another through ball from Aaron Alvares  found Larryl Mascarenhas who beat a couple of defenders, rounded off the goalkeeper and slotted the ball home.

Dempo’s Kimron Fernandes found an unmarked Larryl Mascarenhas and scored his second goal of the evening.

Dempo SC coach Anthony De Souza was delighted after winning his first title with the club. “Credit goes to the boys and our entire technical staff for the brilliant performance in this tournament. We had a great pre-season and the boys looked fit and there was a great hunger and desire to succeed. We hope to continue in this fashion next season.”
