Stocks posted a mixed finish Friday, with the Nasdaq trimming gains as an early tech rally fizzled. The S&P 500 ended 0.1% lower, while the Dow shed around 12 points to close near 24,310, according to preliminary figures. The Nasdaq Composite ended around 1 point higher, a gain of less than 0.1%, after rising by 1.1% in early action following a round of upbeat earnings from tech heavyweights. For the week, the S&P 500 was virtually flat, while the Dow was off 0.6% and the Nasdaq declined 0.4%.
