Where should I invest for three to five years?

I have two questions for the team.
I am 30 years old. I want to start an SIP of Rs 12,000-15,000 per month for a period of three to five years. I read an article of investing in mutual fund for a moderate investor, and selected four schemes: Kotak Select Focus Fund - Regular (G) , Mirae Asset India Equity Fund (G), SBI Magnum Multicap Fund(G) and HDFC Balanced Fund (G). Are these scheme right for me?

I want to invest a lumpsum of Rs 2 lakh in four or five different schemes for a period of three to five years. Can you recommend some schemes.

It seems, you have picked the schemes from our recommended equity mutual fund SIP portfolios. Here is the link: You may invest in the portfolio. However, there is a catch. These portfolios are not meant for short-term investments. You should invest in them to achieve your long-term goals. You should invest only if you have an investment horizon of at least five years.

It is not possible to recommend any schemes to you because you have offered an investment horizon of three to five years. If you want to invest for three years, you should stick to debt mutual fund schemes. If you are investing for five years, you may consider investing in equity-oriented hybrid schemes or balanced schemes.
