BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -

Broken Arrow Public Schools and the BA police department hosted a DUI car accident simulation Friday. During the simulation, one student passed away and several went to the hospital.

“So, they're able to see it. We turn the lights and the sirens on to get people's attention to show them this is real. This is how real is could be. With just one choice and we want people not make that selfish choice and get behind the wheel intoxicated." Said Officer James Koch.

The Broken Arrow media production program also contributed to the simulation by creating a simulation news package of the event.

Broken Arrow High School held a simulation on campus today to promote awareness of the dangers of drunk driving. With prom coming up this weekend we want to encourage all students to be safe, be smart, have fun and return safely to school on Monday! pic.twitter.com/dwTQGDKfX0
