BEAVER -- One down, seven more to go.
The Beaver County Commissioners on Thursday approved a three-year contract with corrections officers at the jail, who are represented by Service Employees International Union Local 668. The agreement is retroactive to Jan. 1.
The deal includes a 2 percent wage increase this year and 3.25 percent increases in 2019 and 2020.
Employee health-care contributions will be 2.5 percent of base wages in 2018, the same as it had been in 2017, and then the contributions will increase to 2.75 percent in 2019 and 3 percent in 2020, county Solicitor Garen Fedeles said.
Seven other union contracts in the county are up for negotiation this year, Fedeles said
